What
computer hardware or software do I need to use Test
Pilot?
All you need to access a Test Pilot exam or survey
is a computer (PC or Mac), and Internet connection,
and a Web browser. Test Pilot works best with Internet
Explorer 5.0 and higher, and Netscape 6.0 and higher.
How
do I access a test or quiz created by my instructor?
To access a test or quiz you will need to use
the URL, Username and Password provided by your instructor,
or self enroll in a test. In most cases, your username
will be the first initial of your first and last name,
followed by your Datatel ID number. See the "Tutorials"
section of the Test Pilot
Student Page.

Will
I be able to see the final score on my quiz or test?
Yes, you will see the final score once you submit
you test for grading. In fact, its a good idea to
print the reciept of your final score just in case
your instructor needs to see it. In some cases, you
will also receive an email confirmation which details
your score on a Test Pilot assessment.
How
many times can I take a test?
Your instructor will determine how many times
you can take a Test Pilot examinationwhen he/she first
creates it. See your instructor for specific information.
What happens if my
computer crashes in the middle of a test?
Send your instructor an email requesting that
he/she "clear partials"
or incomplete tests. Note: Instructors can verify
a true system crash, versus a student intentionally
ending a test session.

What's
the difference between a test and a survey?
Tests are graded and you need to login as a student
user to complete them. Surveys are completely anonomyous
and do not require you to login as a user.
Will
anyone besides my instructor see my test or test scores?
Only your instructor has access to your test
results. Instructos do have the option of sharing
results with other faculty or teaching assistants.
See your instructor for details.
