Undergraduate
research is a reality at the University of Miami and available
to the entire student body. Our students are encouraged
to participate in research long before entering graduate
school in order to try out possible future careers…today!
Undergraduates work alongside faculty members, serving as
mentors, and learn the entire process of research. Students
are taught the basics of grant applications, acquisitions
and design projects. Our students not only participate in
ongoing cutting-edge research, but also are invited to seminars,
training sessions and meetings pertinent to the research
project.
The Office of Undergraduate Research, provides mentored
internships in numerous areas of study. Opportunities include
Science, Medicine, Technology, Business, Education, Communication,
the Arts, Architecture, and Psychology, etc.
Research Internships are available on the Coral Gables Campus,
UM/Jackson Memorial Medical Center, and the Rosenstiel School
of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences Campus.
