OUT OF STATE UNIVERSITY UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

University of South Dakota

Overview:

The Undergraduate Research Council (UgRC) is working to expand undergraduate research at the U by increasing the number of faculty who actively involve undergraduates in all aspects of research and increasing awareness of how student-oriented research enhances learning and development of students and faculty. The UgRC offers several opportunities for undergraduate students. We have summer research opportunities, research grants, and every spring we host IdeaFest, the undergraduate research symposium, so students can show off all their hard work! In addition to IdeaFes, the UgRC can also help fund trips to regional and national conferences, such as the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) and the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) Posters on the Hill.
