  • Priority Registration- Register before New, Returning, and Continuing Students and get first choice of instructors, classes and times!
  • Book Program - We have a limited number of books available for loan to our ACCESS students. You can view the Book Listing on-line, and complete/submit a Book Loan Application and Contract. Also, check out these websites to search for cheaper books!
  • College Tours - Tours of local colleges and universities occur throughout the semester.
  • Counseling & Advising - Our qualified staff counselors are always here to help students with their personal, academic, career and transfer concerns.
  • Orientation - ACCESS Counselor, Michele Hittleman, is the instructor for the ACCESS Program Orientation. Group workshops focus on student responsibilities, career assessment, and informational interviewing. Individualized follow-up sessions focus on career assessment interpretation, the development of an Education Plan, and other academic counseling as needed. Activities may include: workshops on study skills, university transfer, and scholarship search; cultural enrichment; and university tours.
  • Educational Plan - Developing an Educational Plan is the first step you can take to being successful in your academic goals. With the assistance of an ACCESS counselor, students are provided with a semester by semester breakdown of the courses needed to achieve their graduation and/or transfer goals. This process help students stay focused and eliminates enrollment into classes that are not needed.
  • Laptop Loan Program - ACCESS provides a limited number of laptops to students needing a computer workstation at home. With the assistance of Students Helping Students program and Students Recycling Used Technology (StRUT), we are able to provide loaner laptops to students for the duration of the semester.
  • Calculator Loan Program - ACCESS provides a limited number of calculators available for loan to our ACCESS students. You can complete the Application here.
  • Newsletter - A great source of information describing our monthly activities (e.g. scholarships, awards, workshops, recognition, recipes and more...) current newsletter, or Archives.
  • Career and Scholarship Search Assistance - The Scholarship Search Assistance Program consists of teaching students how and where to find information about scholarships on the Internet.  ACCESS is continually updating scholarship options for all our students. In addition to providing specific scholarships, we also provide a workshop to support students in successfully completing scholarship applications and essays.
  • Student Study Center - We strive to fulfill our mission of having an "open door policy." The ACCESS Program Office is open five (5) days a week for student use. ACCESS students refer to the Student Office as a "home away from home community."
  • Workshops & Campus Events - In collaboration with "TEAM" (The EOPS, ACCESS, MESA Group), ACCESS provides workshops to give students opportunities to overcome many academic and personal obstacles. Our topics range from Setting Academic Goals to Overcoming Test Anxiety.
