(13)    FRNCH*058A – Immersion French – 3.0 Units
Removing the fee amount from the Catalog Course Description.  Should there be an ‘A’ at the end of the course number?  Kara asked why there are not three separate sets of outcomes for the different levels of students attending.  Should there be separate objectives and topics by level or should the objectives and topics be generic enough to cover all levels.  Reviewed Writing Assignments
and made minor changes.  Committee requests a sample of Textbooks, Outside Assignments, Writing Assignments and Critical Thinking Assignments.  Concerns about the final examination under Student Evaluation.  Dianne explained this course is more of an immersion in French rather than an intense French course.  Will ask proposer to explain objectives.  There was a question about the hours the class will meet since this is a course offered primarily in one weekend.

.

(20)    SPAN*058 – Immersion Spanish – 3.0 Units

and made minor changes.  Committee requests a sample of Textbooks, Outside Assignments, Writing Assignments and Critical Thinking Assignments.  Concerns about the final examination under Student Evaluation.  Will ask proposer to explain objectives.  There was a question about the hours the class will meet since this is a course offered primarily in one weekend.
