THIRD
CALL FOR FACULTY REPRESENTATIVE TO GAP
SENIOR
OFFICE COORDINATORS: PLEASE POST
The
Mission College Academic Senate is seeking one faculty member to replace
Donnelle McGee as a Senate representative of faculty at-large on the Governance
and Planning Council. The term
will start immediately semester and end in September 2006.
The Senate is seeking faculty interested in the future direction of the college
and who are able to consider the "big picture" and make decisions, in
collaboration with others, that will benefit the entire college.
The
council meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m.
to Noon. The charge of the group
is to serve as an overall coordinating body in the governance of Mission
College. The body
coordinates initiatives that arise from either internal college business or
opportunities presented by the community.
The group serves as a planning body and provides advice to the President
and, at times, through him to the Chancellor and the Board of Trustees. The group serves as a body to whom appeals
can be made if decisions of the constituent bodies are in excessive
conflict.
If
you are interested in serving on this council, please submit your name to the
MC Academic Senate Office (via
e-mail or call Ext. 5413) by Noon, Thursday, February 26, 2004.
Thank
you.
Alex
Braun, President
MC Academic Senate
