IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE MC ACADEMIC SENATE:

The Mission College Academic Senate is seeking representatives from students, staff, faculty, management, and ACE to serve on a Mission College Alternative Academic Calendar Committee. The primary charge of the committee is to collect data via the development and distribution of surveys to faculty, staff, and students; the consideration of scheduling details; the consideration of space concerns; and the consideration of implementation of a compressed calendar. The ultimate goal of the committee is to develop a recommendation based on the research as to the viability of a compressed calendar for Mission College.

The meeting schedule for the committee will be determined once the membership has been selected. The Senate requests that the ACE Executive Council, the Student Senate, the Classified Senate, and the Administration select one or two representatives to serve on the committee and forward those names to the MC Academic Senate by Noon on Thursday, September 6, 2001.

Faculty interested in serving on this committee should notify the Senate Office by phone (Ext. 5413) or e-mail (mc_academic_senate@wvmail) no later than Noon, Thursday, September 6, 2001.
