The following outside resources are recommended to assist in research and planning activities.

Primary Resources

California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office DataMart – Official website for the Chancellor’s Office, the Datamart includes essential tables utilizing data from MIS reporting.

CalPASS – Official website for the state partnership between K-12 and the community colleges. A growing wealth of information, including GIS mapping.

California Postsecondary Education Commission (CPEC) CPEC is a citizen board that provides the Legislature and Governor with policy analysis and recommendations about higher education. Award information, transfer information (high school to college and community college to UC/CSU) and more is available. The Commission’s funding was eliminated for 2011-12 and beyond, but archives of past data can be found on their website.

AACC Research - The research page of the American Association of Community Colleges. Includes trend information for community colleges.

ABAG Data Center - Maintained by the Association of Bay Area Governments , website includes a large amount of demographic and economic data for the Bay Area.

California Department of Education-K-12 Demographic Data - The best source of demographic information about the K-12 system. Information is available at state, county, district, and school levels.

Community Economic Toolbox - This website provides a set of on-line tools that are standard in the field of community economic development. By selecting the state and then the county that you're interested in examining, you'll find information on labor trends and much more. In some of the tools you will be able to download data. Also see the list of other sources for more details on local economic analysis.

Research and Planning Group - The RP Group provides leadership in research, analysis, and planning issues for the California Community Colleges. The RP Group provides news, assistance, resources, and networking opportunities for researchers.

U.S. Census Bureau - An encyclopedic source of economic, demographic, and geographic data at the local, county, state, and national levels.
