Library Collections

The Mission College Library maintains an on-site collection of over 55,000 print and non-print materials to support the educational needs of the college's students, faculty, and staff. In addition, it provides access to electronic resources, including full-text periodical databases, indexes, encyclopedias and dictionaries. Most print material and some media material can be borrowed by students. Some media is available for in-library use only. Our electronic resources are accessible from any campus computer and most computers with Internet access off campus.

The library collection includes:
  • Circulating and reserve books
  • Reference materials in paper and electronic formats
  • Magazines and newspapers in paper, microfilm, and electronic formats
  • Perodical indexes in paper and electronic formats
  • Videos, DVDs, tapes, audio-cassettes, CDs, and slides
  • Special collections including recreational reading and the library's Asian American Collection

Services include interlibrary loan both from West Valley College and from other institutions through LINK+ (a consortium of libraries across California and Nevada). Photocopying, Internet access, fee-based printing, and reserves are also available.
