Browser Check

Some Distance Learning courses require special browser add-ons called plugins in order to display multimedia and PDF files. Test for browser plugins below.

Test Click an icon to bring up a test page for the plugin. Be patient while the page loads. Use the browser back button to return to Distance Learning.	Download If the test page indicates that your system does not have the plugin, click the download link to download and install the plugin.  Use the browser back button to return to Distance Learning.
Test Adobe Flash	Download and install Flash Player.
Test Adobe Shockwave	Download and install Shockwave Player.
Test Real Media	Download and install RealPlayer.
Test Acrobat Reader (PDF)	Download and install Acrobat Reader.
Test Windows Media Player	Download and install Win Media Player.
Test Quicktime Player	Download and install Quicktime Player.
Software Viewers A viewer allows you to view a file created with a program you do not have installed on your computer. If you need any of these viewers, click on the appropriate link below to download and install it for free.
	The Word 2003 Viewer allows you to open and view Word documents without Word installed on your computer.
	The PowerPoint 2003 Viewer allows you to open and view PowerPoint presentations without PowerPoint installed on your computer.
	The Excel 2003 Viewer allows you to open and view Excel spreadsheet files withou Excel installed on your computer.
