REMEMBER: CTE Career Pathways starts in high school and is "2+2" - 2 years of high school + 2 years of college all in a Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathway.
Follow these steps to enroll in a CTE Career Pathways Program:
- Begin the process in 10th grade.
- Look at your high school course catalog to find courses designated "CTE Career Pathways"
- The following are places to get information about CTE Career Pathways
- High School Counselor
- Career Center
- Your local ROP (Regional Occupational Program) Office
- Discuss the CTE Career Pathways program with your parents and counselor.
- Find out if there are any prerequisites or entrance requirements.
- Talk to someone who is enrolled in the program now.
- If you have any specific questions, meet with the 11th grade CTE Career Pathways instructor in your chosen field.
- Once you reach a decision, sign-up and jumpstart your career!
