Mission College Personal Care Aide

The Personal Care Aide application period is open and mandatory information workshops are scheduled for March 2013.  The next PCA course starts April 8 , 2013 to May 6 , 2013 from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The Mission College Personal Care Aide is designed to prepare students to provide or support activities of daily living, personal care, and light domestic duties to elderly and disabled individuals needing assistance to remain safety and independently in their own home or in an assisted living facility. Upon successful completion students receive a certificate of completion. This program is funded by the Affordable Care Act Personal and Home Care aide State Training (PHCAST) Program through the Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration.
