Jeff has been active in Physical Education and Athletics all his life. In High School he received the award for the outstanding Physical Education student for the junior/senior classes and named in the top ten athletes in the school. He competed in tennis through college and earned rankings in Singles and Doubles (with twin brother John) in the Northern California Open Division.

Jeff has taught PE for 22 years. At Mission, he teaches Self-Defense, Badminton, Weight Training and Tennis. He presently coaches the Men’s Tennis team and coached the women’s tennis team for three years. Jeff has received some honors for his coaching. He has been named Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year in 1992,1993, 1995 and 2000. In 1999, he was named the Men’s California Community College Tennis Coach of the Year.

In addition to his teaching and coaching duties, Jeff serves as the Athletic Director at Mission, President of the California Community College Tennis Coaches Association since 1999, and serves on the Workshop committee for PEACH (Physical Education, Athletic Coaching and Health) held at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo every summer.

"The education of our students is always my top priority. My goals, whether on court or in self-defense class is to develop individuals by focusing on their technique, movement, and balance. I want students to set goals and maintain their focus on achieving them. Integrity, discipline and hard work will always produce the success we desire in athletics and in life."
