Stephanie graduated from Chabot College in 1997. At Chabot she was a member of the Golden Gate Conference Championship Softball Team and a Coaches Association All-State First Team Selection. Stephanie then transferred to San Jose State University where she competed on the Women's Softball Team. Her junior and senior seasons the Spartans were ranked in the Top 20 in the nation for all Division I schools.

She began her teaching and coaching career in 1990 at Foothill College. Her teams won back to back Coast Conference Championships in 1992 and 1993. In addition, her 1991 and 1992 teams were awarded the Coast Conference Sportsmanship Award. Stephanie has worked primarily with people with disabilities in the field of Adapted physical Education and Therapeutic Recreation. She was a committee member for National Championship Wheelchair Tournaments in Wheelchair Basketball and Quad Rugby. She also taught Adapted Physical Education for 3 years at Chabot College while coaching the women's basketball team.

Stephanie was hired at Mission College in 1997 and has coached the inaugural seasons for three different intercollegiate athletic teams for women. In 1997 she started the women's basketball program, in 2000 she coached the first ever women's badminton team and in 2001 began the women's softball team. Stephanie is thrilled to be working at a college that shares her commitment to providing equal opportunities for women to compete on intercollegiate athletic teams. She believes very strongly that women have valuable lessons that can be learned while competing in athletics and tries to teach her athletes about the women who made college athletics a reality for them.

At Mission, Stephanie is now teaching classes in basketball, weight training/cardio cross training and fitness for the competitive athlete, in addition to coaching the women's intercollegiate softball team. She also developed the highly successful Corporate Fitness Program that caters to the needs of our local high tech workers.
