A Santa Clara native and a former student of Mission College, Todd played baseball during the 1985-1986 seasons. During his seasons with Mission, the team earned two Conference Championships and in 1986 he was team captain. Before coaching at Mission College, Todd was an Assistant Coach at San Jose State University during the 1990-1993 seasons. From 1994-1996, he was the Head Coach for Santa Clara High School. In 1997 he returned to collegiate baseball as the Head Coach for Mission College. That same year he received the Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award. Since he began coaching at Mission, the five-year record for baseball has been 123-80. In the year 2000 his team won the Coast Conference Championship. As a full-time faculty member Todd splits his time between coaching and teaching weight training classes.
