Karl's interests include running, bicycling, backpacking, and tennis ... all of which are temporarily curtailed due to the newest member of his family.Karl and his wife, Huong, happily announce the birth of their new daughter, Barbara. She was born on April 17, 1998 at 1:59 PM. Karl and Huong would like to express their appreciation to his students, members of the mathematics department, and colleagues who took great joy in their happiness. Karl took banked leave in the fall semester of 1998 to spend time with Barbara while Huong continues school at San Jose State University.
