RE: MATH TUTORING
A MATH CAROL
ENCORE
Twas the first week of classes and all through the school,
Instructors were assigned from the part-time pool;
Math homework was hung by the Math Lab with care,
In hopes that a tutor soon would be there.
The students were nestled all snug in their chairs,
While dozens of tutors danced 'round them in pairs.
And Ron with his slide-rule, and I with my pen,
Began scheduling students with tutors, and then...
Out in the Center Space there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the balcony I flew like a flash,
Peered down on the students, who needed to pass.
"Just one more math class to graduate is needed by me."
"I know it's the Math Lab that still holds the key
To success in this place; that passing grade!"
"But, how can we reach it?", smiles started to fade.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around
Down the railing of the staircase He slid with a bound.
"Never fear!" said the Math Man, as He started to say
"Read these flyers with info, they'll show you the way!"
And if that's not enough, by your class He'll be by
To spread word of the Math Lab. Yes, He'll tell you why!
With tutors, and videos, and software support...
"You CAN pass your math class!" He said with a snort.
The last week of January, He'll stop by each class,
To seek others in need of a new way to pass.
Should He miss you, however, He'll leave in your box
A handful of flyers to fill all the socks
Of the masses of students who crammed to score
An "A" on their test and a grade they'll adore!
