| Why is the MAPS program requiring students pass Math 902 before registering for Math 903? | Students who struggle with Math have a better foundation having completed and passed Math 902 (Pre-Algebra). In general, students who struggle with Math and come directly from Math 900 (Arithmetic) often do not have a solid Pre-Algebra foundation. For this reason, they struggle and get frustrated with Math and the instructor. The assumption is the students entering Math 903 has a foundation in Pre-Algebra. |
