| The project offers a 5-unit graduate level on-line course for educators. Even though the course is designed for practicing teachers, the course can be modified for administrators, community leaders, and others. The course is appropriate for all levels of teaching, first grade through university, and any subject. | ![]() |
| The course offers the opportunity to: a) Discuss the specific perspectives and learning styles which are common among many female, Latino/a, African-American, and American Indian/Alaskan Native students. b) Examine issues of multicultural education by doing personal research (literature/classroom research). c) Create new curriculum or revise your current curriculum to incorporate the teaching strategies presented in the course. d) Compare and contrast the new teaching strategies with traditional teaching strategies which were developed for a different student population than is in our schools today. e) Evaluate student learning by developing assessment tools for the new curriculum and/or teaching strategies. | \|
