  1. Barriers to Post-Secondary Education
    Our goal is to help you understand the many barriers to academic success that you may be experiencing due to your socioeconomic, immigration, and citizenship status and provide you with the tools and information needed to succeed.
  2. Beyond ESL
    To help students transition from ESL to College English; motivate students to do well in their classes and graduate or transfer to a four-year institution; enhance students’ understanding of the ESL and English course sequence.
  3. Budgeting/Financial Literacy
    Inform students regarding the different ways they can increase their income and provide them with money management tips.
  4. Effective Time Management
    To provide you with effective time management skills; to help you develop effective study strategies; and to balance your weekly schedule and live happy, more productive lives as community college students.
  5. Raise Your Self Esteem
    This workshop will help you to understand the concept and importance of self-esteem, as well as to explore its meanings within the context of Asian American and Pacific Islander cultures.
  6. Stress Management
    Managing stress is about taking charge of your thoughts, your emotions, your schedule, your environment, and the way you deal with problem.  We begin with developing self-awareness as well as exploring the nature of stress and discovering coping strategies.
  7. Taking Charge of Your Future/Goals Setting
    Learn to be effective in setting goals; after all, a goal is a dream with a deadline. Develop your understanding of how to make concrete, measureable goals that you can achieve.
  8. Write A Personal Statement
    Get tips and help for writing personal statements when you apply for transfer or for scholarships.
