Mission College Library
With a generous grant from the Robert N. Chang Charitable Foundation, the Mission College Library has created the Asian American Collection and Speaker Program. The collection showcases writings by and about all Asian Americans, with an emphasis on Chinese Americans. It documents the impact Asian Americans have made on American society.

Asian American and Pacific Islander Higher Education Resource Center
For faculty and staff members interested in learning more about the AANAPISI Grant, this site provides many resources for those seeking to explore the issues facing Asian American and Pacific Islander students in higher education.
Asian Americans for Community Involvement
The largest non-profit organization in Santa Clara dedicated to providing mental health and human services to the local API community. They provide culturally and linguistically competent services for individuals and families; individuals seeking recovery from drug, alcohol (mostly for adolescents) or gambling addiction; elderly clients interested in wellness programs; women seeking support and shelter due to domestic violence; and those interested in HIV/AIDS testing and awareness.
Asian American Recovery Services
AARS is committed to supporting individuals to recover from alcohol and/or drug addiction; they provide cross-cultural counseling and multilingual support.
Asian American Women's Alliance
This organization provides leadership development, as well as personal and group support, for Asian American women in the South Bay.
MAITRI
Their mission is to support South Asian women experiencing domestic violence by providing counseling, emergency shelters, and attorneys.
Asian Law Alliance
This is a non-profit organization that helps AAPI clients dealing with legal issues that include housing, immigration, citizenship, and public benefits.
Vietnamese Voluntary Foundation, Inc. (VIVO)
They provide ESL, citizenship and computer classes, as well as career counseling for immigrants and refugees; other services include a wellness program for the elderly; youth development program; and referrals to local childcare centers.
Immigrant Resettlement and Cultural Center
They provide 20 different programs for immigrant and low income communities of Silicon Valley, including English as a Second Language classes, citizenship classes, employment counseling/job development, and assistance with housing.
International Children Assistance Network
They offer workshops and other events to help Vietnamese American parents develop the knowledge and skills to safely and successfully raise their children through the first five years of life; other institutional goals include supporting orphans and children in impoverished areas in Hue and Ba Ria - Vung Tau (Vietnam).
San Jose Japanese American Citizens League
They provide internships, fellowships and community leadership opportunities for students as well as educational and social events dedicated to exploring the experiences of Japanese Americans.
South Bay First Thursdays
South Bay First Thursdays (SBFT) is a monthly dinner series for people interested in Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community issues and service opportunities. Each event seeks to educate the audience about an important issue or work in the AAPI community, highlighting local opportunities for audience members to get involved. Our events are located in the South Bay.
