The Northern California New Media Center (formerly South Bay Regional New Media Center) works with faculty, students, industry representatives, community based and professional organizations in Northern California.

The Center works to enable incumbent workers to become more competitive in their regions labor market, increase creative and technological skills and identify career paths to economic self-sufficiency. The Center also provides regional leadership in skills training by hosting workshops and conferences in order to provide up-to-date technological information and networking opportunities for faculty, students and industry representatives. In addition the Center is instrumental in the development and distribution of industry driven new media related curricula.

The Northern California New Media Center is one of six centers in the state and it is a member of the California Multimedia and Entertainment Initiative. The initiative is supported by the California Economic and Workforce Development program.
