MGMT 132:  Styles of Leadership

Topics covered include:

· Main styles of leadership
· Leadership inventory
· Leadership patterns and practices
· Leadership approaches when managing conflict
· Leadership styles based on particular situations
· Evaluating leadership style effectiveness.

Course Overview:
This course explores styles of leadership to determine the strengths and techniques of each style so that the student can improve own leadership performance.

Instructor: David Bergen

About the Instructor:  David Bergen has over 20 years experience working for Hewlett Packard in a variety of business areas including marketing, business systems, distribution, and project management.  He has presented on topics such as website globalization, direct marketing, e-branding, strategic execution, organizational behavior, and advanced project management.  David has an MBA from San Francisco State University.  David also currently teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Organzational Behavior and Leadership at the University of San Francisco.
